BOTOX® Cosmetic

The cosmetic form of botulinum toxin, often referred to by its product name BOTOX® Cosmetic, is a popular non-surgical injection that temporarily reduces or eliminates frown lines, forehead creases, crows feet near the eyes and thick bands in the neck. The toxin blocks the nerve impulses, temporarily weakening the muscles that cause wrinkles while giving the skin a smoother, more refreshed appearance. Studies have also suggested that  BOTOX® Cosmetic is effective in relieving migraine headaches, excessive sweating and muscle spasms in the neck and eyes.

Dysport®

Dysport is the newest Botulinum Toxin Type A approved by the FDA in the United States. Dysport is used to relax facial muscles of the forehead, smoothing away the appearance of frown lines and wrinkles.

Restylane® - A Natural Beauty Lift

Impressions of beauty change with time - as do our faces as we age. With Restylane®, you can have a natural beauty lift with the body’s own material. Restylane® is a crystal-clear, non-animal, biodegradable gel based on a natural substance, called hyaluronic acid. The gel is injected into the skin in tiny amounts with a very fine needle. The result is instantaneous and produces a long-lasting, natural enhancement, gentle and safe to your skin.

Perlane® - Natural-Looking Results

Perlane® provides rejuvenating cosmetic beauty treatments for a natural, younger-looking you. It is well tolerated, nonsurgical and long lasting (usually around six months). Like Restylane®, Perlane® is composed of hyaluronic acid. Perlane® has larger gel particles and is intended to be injected deeper within the skin to restore volume and correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds).

Radiesse® - A Natural Look That Lasts

Radiesse is a synthetic compound made up of microspheres of calcium hydroxyapatite, combined with an aqueous gel. Your results may last up to a year, especially in the folds around your mouth. Radiesse is setting a new standard for facial contouring and augmentation. It immediately adds volume to safely contour, correct, and beautify facial features. Radiesse is made of unique, patented, calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in a water-based gel carrier. When injected into the skin, these microspheres initially perform as a filler - they immediately provide facial volume for a soft, natural look. The transformation is noticeable right away. Over time, your body will gradually absorb the gel carrier, but the very tiny, smooth microspheres remain.

Dermabrasion and Dermaplaning

Dermabrasion and dermaplaning help to “refinish” the skin’s top layers through a method of controlled surgical scraping. The treatments soften the sharp edges of surface irregularities, giving the skin a smoother appearance. Dermabrasion is most often used to improve the look of facial skin left scarred by accidents or previous surgery, or to smooth out fine facial wrinkles, such as those around the mouth. It’s also sometimes used to remove the pre-cancerous growths called keratoses. Dermaplaning is commonly used to treat deep acne scars.

Both dermabrasion and dermaplaning can be performed on small areas of skin or on the entire face. They can be used alone, or in conjunction with other procedures such as facelift, scar removal or revision, or chemical peel. If you’re considering surgery to refinish the skin, this information will give you a basic understanding of the procedure-when it can help, how it’s performed, and what results you can expect. It can’t answer all of your questions, since a lot depends on your individual circumstances. Please ask your doctor about anything you don’t understand.

MicroPeel

Chemical peel uses a chemical solution to improve and smooth the texture of the facial skin by removing its damaged outer layers. It is helpful for those individuals with facial blemishes, wrinkles and uneven skin pigmentation. Phenol, trichloroacetic acid (TCA) and alphahydroxy acids (AHAs) are used for this purpose. The precise formula used may be adjusted to meet each patient’s needs. Although chemical peel may be performed in conjunction with a facelift, it is not a substitute for such surgery, nor will it prevent or slow the aging process.

Make Up - Permanent

Permanent eyeliner is possible through a procedure called micropigmentation in which an organic pigment is embedded beneath the skin to add permanent color. The procedure involves the use of a hand-held device that punctures the skin hundreds of times per minute with a very thin needle and pushes the pigment into the desired location. In addition to defining the eyes, micropigmentation is used to enhance eyebrows and lips and can permanently create the look of blush and eye shadow. Permanent make up is also used in breast reconstruction.

Endermologie

Endermologie is a non-invasive in-office procedure used to improve skin tone and reduce the appearance of stretch marks, cellulite, and loose skin. The Endermologie machine has two rollers and a strong suction between them, which massages the outer layer of skin. This process increases circulation, which increases collagen synthesis. You will see results within 6-8 sessions. However, 14 sessions are recommended for optimal results. Endermologie may be beneficial if:

  • If you have visible cellulite. If you are no more than 30 pounds over ideal weight.
  • If you have a regular program of good diet and aerobic exercise.
  • If you have had other body contouring procedures (i.e., Tummy Tuck or Liposuction) and desire to enhance and maintain the results.
  • If you have noticeable stretch marks.
